Ecowitt IOT fails to connect to device

I am trying to install the ecowitt iot integration and get the screen to enter IP address, whe enter the IP address for the GW2000 I receive the message "failed to connect to device". I am on the same network as the hub and can ping it from my computer. What am I doing wrong??

Also, I can log in to the hub with it's IP address and the IOT devices are listed.

same (?) problem - in my case it was caused by an additional " " at the end of the IP...

DieWalge what are you entering for the IP address? I am entering the IP for the GW2000 that the WFC01 is connected to. In my case I am entering 192.168.10.27 and I accnot connect.
