Can't move or resize avatar in scene

I'm new to XR animator and I just can't figure out how to get my avatar to make contact with the floor, and to zoom in on her without zooming to her waist, making her face off screen. I have done my googling, and I'm supposed to be able to use W A S D keys for moving the avatar around but those keys does nothing. Any ideas, what am I missing here?
