This is a known issue that we're working on... if you're working with aerial imagery we're about to release a better v2 aerial georeferencer. will let you know when we get that out.

@brendanashworth for test case, I am trying to run AI Georeferencer with QGIS 3.40.2 but still getting the same error- "Bunting Labs AI Georeferencer: Georeferencing failed. Please try again"

However, I have export input image to HD quality in case issue with image quality, but still facing the same issue.
