You don't have permission to use this app

Hello everyone,
I don't understand how application access rights work.

I have 3 users:
1 admin (that's me)
1 creator
1 App user

I created an application.
I then created a new table

I then created a user view of this table for the “App user”.
I also created an admin view of this table for “admin” and “creator”.

I then generated a form for the “user” view.
And a table from the “admin” view.

When I'm in admin or creator mode, both views are in design mode (of course I'm admin).
If I'm in “App user”, I can't access the views. I get the error message “You don't have permission to use this app”.

There are multiple places to grant rights in budibase.
Which ones should I use?

Some screenshots would help. It's worth noting there are two types of permissions as you've noted.

• Workspace permissions which apply across all your apps: https://docs.budibase.com/docs/user-roles#access-permission
• And then app specific roles: https://docs.budibase.com/docs/application-access#who-has-access-to-my-application

Hey @masterbalby2,

Adding to this, I would look deeper at the access level you have set for your views. By default, views inherit their base tables' access level. Most of the time, this is App admin, meaning that lower-level roles, app users in your case, won't be able to see/interact with those tables/views.
