Unfortunately crashes are just a thing in System 6 and 7 you'll have to deal with. Make sure you have things backed up. Maybe you have bad RAM? Weak analog board? I assume you're powering the BlueSCSI via USB - make sure it has at minimum 1 amp power brick. It is a good idea to run the system on one drive and data/apps on another - will lessen the "blast radius". I can say while I have had a corrupted drive due to crashes - it is pretty rare. If the crash is hardware related remove and test items in your setup (RAM, voltage, just one SCSI device, etc, etc) till you find a culprit or pattern. |

I am using external power but actually want to start using power from the scsi port using the diode mod. Is it not recommended? Is there a way to check the Macintosh power supply apart of voltage? |

Guys,
I have Macintosh Plus and both piSCSI and BlueSCSI. Both of them work as expected. However, quite often, after the computer crashes and I have to hard reset or power off, I cannot boot from the image anymore.
The only solution is to restore the image from the original.
I suppose that the disk image got corrupted somehow, and it prevents booting.
What could be a remedy for this situation?
Can I prevent the image from being corrupted?
Or should I have a separate volume for booting only and keep the rest on the other volume?
Could you please share the best practices?
