BOINC is a platform for 'volunteer computing': using consumer devices (desktops, laptops, tables, phones) to do scientific computing. The goal of BOINC is to give scientists large computing power at small cost.
You can use BOINC Central to process batches of jobs for common applications (currently Autodock Vina) through a web interface. You don't need to create a BOINC project or know anything at all about BOINC.
For help with BOINC, post to the BOINC projects email list.
Old (largely outdated) docs:
- Create a BOINC server using a VM image with BOINC software pre-installed. Note: this image is out of date.
- Create a BOINC server on AWS using the same VM image.
- Create a BOINC server using Docker Note: the Docker images are out of date.
