Fix Session state & progress display

I'm having an issue where if I go to 'class report' for Session 1 and see some people with 'in progress' or 'completed' and then I go to Session 2 (or any other session) and then go back to Session 1 to see the class report again the purple 'in progress' and green 'completed' bubbles disappear i.e. it looks like no one has completed anything.

I attempted to reproduce on my end, but do not see the issue described when logged in as an instructor and navigating between sessions. I also tried logging in as an admin and impersonating an instructor.

If you have screenshots or the instructor account name I can look into this further.
