Description
Since weldx-0.6 we have a multi pass welding schema, which enables the user to define a weld consisting of multiple layers, beads, and weldments.
We want to have a widget (group) to plan such a complex task and export it into this very schema.
Desirable features (this is currently a loose collection of ideas, please feel free to update it):
- create complex welding (robot) programs with a simple to use front end.
- create patterns, which can be reused, repeated (e.g. with a weldx
MathematicalExpression
) - each pattern can be placed into seam, it could be checked for "clashes" geometrically.
- a pattern could also be a robot program (fragment), which makes sense locally, but can be extended to a global pattern.
- ...
If we have used weldx to create the input for the robot, we could import the measurements later on attached to the definition of the welding task.
