Hi,

something went wrong in the last days.

After trying to update from 11.2.8 to 11.3.0 I now get the following

Unhandled exception. System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'SkiaSharp.SKFontManager' threw an exception.

I have no idea what went wrong.

Any hint how to fix it?

Those are SkiaSharp 3 versions (Skia milestones 116/117). Assuming you're using that, make sure you have a project reference to it and also to the SkiaSharp linux library for native assets (assuming you're building for Linux).

I could fix it, having no idea why the Skia versions were messed up.

For me, I could simply include the correct SkiaSharp Version for Linux like this:

 <PackageReference Include="SkiaSharp.NativeAssets.Linux" Version="3.116.1" Condition="'$([System.Runtime.InteropServices.RuntimeInformation]::IsOSPlatform($([System.Runtime.InteropServices.OSPlatform]::Linux)))'" />

Not sure why this is needed, as it was not needed before 11.3

Same problem since upgrading to Avalonia 11.3
