Bug: ADM theme file changed color value

My theme has a setting
[Control Panel\Colors]
Window=255 255 202

which creates a yellow background for windows.

When AutoDarkMode changes mode, light to dark or vice versa, it does not respect this setting.
And when I check ADMTheme.theme and Custom.theme I see:
Window=255 255 255

This issue did not exist before, I think it was started in the latest update of WIN.

I have another computer with WIN11 23H2, on which I have not yet updated to the latest update, and everything works fine there.

I'm not the expert, but I would find it interesting if a Windows update would change the content of a non-default theme file. Do you know anything else that recently changed? If you happen to update that other computer and see the same issue, let us know.

Maybe you could please make a Theme with the setting:
[Control Panel\Colors]
Window=255 255 202
and see if the AutoDarkMode respects it when it changes from dark to light and vice versa?

If it respects, then please try putting the computer into hibernation, then waking it up and please check if it still respects this setting.

None of those values in [Control Panel\Colors] should be respected with modern themes on Win11.

These values generally are ignored for the default theme derivatives unless a third party theming engine / theme is used.
Are you using the high contrast theme?

I can't reproduce this on any of my machines, but they are all 24H2.

Normally, changing values in the \Colors section trigger a DWM refresh. Try manually forcing a dwm refresh on each switch in the settings and check if it applies then.
