As of current, there is no way to adjust the spacing between buttons of the module.
The default spacing is subjectively more than it could be, which could result in overlapping buttons, particularly in lower-resolution screens.
Implementing adjustable margins and/or paddings would solve this.

Could you share a screenshot? Possibly a separate image highlighting in red what padding you would like, whether those between monitor menu buttons or within each monitor if spacing between icon, data, graphs, etc., would also be helpful.
I kinda agree. Although it is not obvious when using the default GNOME topbar, it can become odd with other top-bar customization extensions, e.g., the Open Bar extension, as shown in the screenshot below. The paddings of the icons seem to be too small. Besides, when mouse hovers, the margins/padding exhibits werid changes.
It would be great if we can adjust margins and/or paddings manually.
