Make profiles hoverable again

I miss when the profile pictures for the blogs hovered on the dashboard (I'm not a fan of how big the icons are now too). If we could find a way to get it back to how it was before, that would be great!
Edit: What I mean by the avatar hovering to the left of the blog. Sorry for the confusion.

This hasn't been removed from Tumblr...? Hovering a blog's name or avatar still produces a blog card on desktop. If you're not seeing them, make sure that you don't have your window narrow enough to trigger the mobile layout (where the sidebars disappear) and that you're not using a touchscreen.

I can't tell from the wording if this is about hovering the mouse over the blog avatar images or about the blog avatar images being in a floating position off the left side of posts! I'm guessing the second.
