Should we use the wda provided by appium device farm only?

Let say I've installed WDA from official appium repository, which has this bundle id com.facebook.WebDriverAgentRunner.xctrunner and it's working fine. Won't the device farm use this? should we need to use the IPA provided by device-farm only? even if IPA only needed, can we upload the IPA from official appium wda repo?
