Upload API???

Can't I upload the app installation file freely using the upload app?

If you upload using Api now, the file will be saved in that path, but the information value will not be updated in the storage DB, so it will not be seen in the Apps list. Is there a way to do this?

I would like to upload the installation file through the API provided by Appium Device Farm.

However, when you look at the Google developer tool, there is an item called dashbard/api/upload, and if you curl based on the address, the file is uploaded to the storage normally, but it is not displayed normally on the web page.

While trying to figure out why it doesn't work, you write the file information to the database when you upload a file onto the web page, but you don't write the database when you use "dashboard/api/upload" right away.

Regarding this, I was wondering if there is an api usage that I don't know or if it's a feature that I don't currently offer.

Until this will be implemented, is there another way to use an app without upload it through api/dashboard? I want to use an app in CI environment.

@ValentinCondurache you can upload ur app at some remote location and provide that as a part of appium:app and appium will take care. This is for automation

You are right.. For some reason it didn't worked when I tried with my app and I thought the step of uploading it to the plugin was mandatory. So I confirm that it works with normal app. Thank you!
