Assigning 8 directional movement?

I have tried to use the 4 directional movement, but cursor speed for anything between standard horizontal and vertical movement is about 50% speed of those movements. I have clicked "Eight Way" in "Stick Mode" and then tried to assign something in between, but there is no option for such movements. I then click "Advanced" as I read 2 inputs can be assigned (I figure this may remedy the situation by assigning both up and right, etc.), but I can only assign one mouse movements because when I click the empty box it will not recognise a mouse movement, but only a mouse click, leaving me no way to assign 2 mouse movements and I can not get good cursor control because of this.

Same thing here, some games only use mouse movement for looking around with no keyboard options. I'd like to set up an eight-way config where looking up would be mouseup, left would be mouseleft, and upper left would be mouseup+mouseleft. However you cannot assign two simultaneous mouse movements so by using the stick I can only look up and then left, or look left and then up, but I can't look to the upper left in a single diagonal move.

Maybe a feature for a new version hint hint ? :)

Yeah, I just figured I must be doing something wrong but I guess it just can't be used like this yet. I want to play FireWarrior with the Widescreen mod as I have a 40k itch and already played SMI, II and Hired Gun but haven't completed Fire Warrior since I was 12, but I don't feel like using a mouse tbh so it will have to wait. Hopefully you find another solution for your game.

Try DS4windows, I'm getting very good results with that. Smooth controller movement and menu support too (Fallout New Vegas GOG version). It does seem to disable my mouse while playing which keeps me from activating a couple of mods but for the better movement it's worth it.
