Description

Background

A lot of the Cloud Hosted Email is concentraded in 3 vendors (according to themselves) Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Zoho. While this suppliers provide "some" email security. Its usually either required for all users to purchase an upgrade license. Such as the case of the infamous E5 MS license.

Security should not be a surcharge. It should be default on products. Vendors should not be incentive to sell the car and the brakes separate. Due to this reason vendors have opened their cloud email to security vendors to bring their own scanning. Solutions such as Harmony from Checkpoint work like this.

Requirements.

Write a python tool, to investigate and connect to an Office365 tenant via the Graph API, and be notified when new emails arrive. The MS Graph API also provide capabilities to either request the email content to be analyzed or be scanned.

This would allow smaller organizations to bring their own email security with all the added features to be built separate (antispam, antimalware, antiphishing, document bleaching, malicious URLs etc).
