There are 3 different ways to send ether in solidity.

1. <𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴>.𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥(𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵) - It sends the specified amount to the address. However, it does not propagate errors and only sends a small amount of gas with it. It forwards 2300 units of gas which is not adjustable. It is just enough to log an event at the receiving contract.

2. <𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴>.𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭.𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦(𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵)() - It sends the amount to address. It also overcome this limitation, as the amount of gas can be specified, using this approach, by appending .gas(amountOfGas). But it does open the door of re-entrancy attack.

3. <𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴>.𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳(𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵) - It was introduced in the solidity version 0.4.13. It also forwards 2300 units of gas which isn't adjustable. It propagates every exception that is thrown at the receiving address to the sending contract, leading to an automatic revert of all state changes.

Well it depends on the situation of the user. If we have just to log an event at the receiving contract then .send or .transfer is good to follow. I would prefer .transfer in this two as it propagates every exception.🤔

But if we want to send some extra gas then we should use .call.value but on the other fact we should make sure to check the re-entrancy.
