Failed to install Pillow

Getting this error on an upgrade

I have attached 2 logs I have seen you ask for with other similar problems.

I tried to install pillow manually and it failed.

Would you please run

cd ~/allsky
./support.sh

Then upload the support log it creates. It will have more information.

Packages that Allsky needs are changing all the time, and for whatever reason, the new versions don't always install. Makes me wonder if their developers tested them. Sometimes if we change Allsky to install a different version it fixes the problem.

Since the installation hasn't finished please try the following

cd ~/allsky
sudo apt install gawk jq dialog
./support.sh

If that fails please attach

/home/pi/allsky/config/logs/Python_dependencies.3.log

Sigh, another changed package that breaks Allsky.

Change this file

/home/pi/allsky/config_repo/requirements-32.txt

Find the line

Pillow

And change it to

Pillow==10.0.0

Then re run the installation

This appears to be an issue with the tools on the pi rather than the library but I will need to confirm that, the above if it works is just a temporary workaround

Glad that worked. So the issue is the local setuptools are older than the new version of Pillow (The joys of third party libraries!!)

I'll look at a proper fix for this
