problem after upgrade - remote website installer

Hello, i tried to upgrade my allsky from v2024.12.06_01 to v2024.12.06_02 but i had many problems - almost fixed but still have the one i am reporting, relating remote website installer

i want share what i did, looking for a suggestion that will help me in future to do a proper upgrade without create mess as i did :-(
A) I did backup and created allsky-OLD folder, then reinstalled in that way: git clone --branch v2024.12.06_02 https://github.com/AllskyTeam/allsky.git
cd allsky --> ./install.sh (Please correct me if i did something wrong , i am looking for a easy upgrade procedure that not force me to reconfigure again every time )
B)i got errors when old folder has been detected, (Camera Type not in prior new-style settings file) - so i decided to reinstall by scratch
C)installation was successfully, luckily i had a backup of previous settings.json , but i needed to provide in gui remote website credentials
D) i provided right credentials and i tried to install ./remoteWebsiteInstall.sh
but i got below errors , one about lack of a file in configuration (that i suppose should be generated once i updated gui with ftp credentials bud did not) 2nd instead looks that command.txt has been treated like a directory by the script..

bly did not) - the second error instead looks like script treat command.txt like a directory (access was successfully)

at the end, allsky is working with v2024.12.06_02 on my PI but is still at v2024.12.06_01 on my website, GUI asking me to run
./remoteWebsiteInstall.sh but as i explained , is not working

Upgrading from _01 to _02 should have been simple and quick.
Do you still have the ~/allsky/config/logs/install.log file from that upgrade? It will tell me what went wrong.

In the attached file I see one strange entry that may be due to running the wrong git clone command. When getting the latest release you don't need to specify the branch. I will try the same thing you did and see if I get the same results.
Look in the "Installations -> Allsky" Documentation page for the correct git command to run.

Regarding the Website problems, I will look at them in a bit.

In the meantime, please attach ~/allsky/config/messages.txt.

Hi Eric, really thank you very much, i have reinstalled in proper way using provided instructions (and keeping Allsky-OLD folder) and now everyhing is perfect, also Website - now i remember i upgraded from 2024.12.06 to _01 smoothly and then when i see that was not the last, i installed again but i wrongly used wrongly git command, that probably is reason of the issue

I am glad things are working. Thanks for the update.

This was not a waste of time at all.
Assuming I have the same problems you did when I use the command you did, it'll give me the opportunity to improve Allsky by checking for that condition. At some point, someone else will do the same thing and run into the same problems, so I prefer to fix it now.
