The Allsky Map has two entries from my site

I was having issues with my RPi 4 Wifi and completely wiped it to start again. It didn't fix the problem but now I have two entries of my data on the Allsky Map. I did a fresh install on the Allsky system. You can see it if you can find Canberra in Australia which is south west of Sydney (which is better known).

I'll take a look at the map when I am on my PC. We use the machine ID to match a Pi to an entry in the map database. It's supposed to be unique but isn't always, and apparently changes when you reinstall the OS. We don't display entries that are older than 30 days so it will eventually go away, but I'll delete it now.

The bug with the wrong version in the Website is fixed in the point release coming out February 1.

I have a problem with the Machine ID. I'm using an image clone created on a different Raspberry Pi 4.
I've now changed the Machine ID, but the AllSky software still reports: Machine ID is undefined.
And my camera can no longer be found in the map.

If you have two double quotes in any of the map-related fields, like Lens or Owner, please replace them with single quotes. That bug is fixed in the next release.

If not, run:

postToMap.sh --force --debug --debug > /tmp/map.txt 2>&1

And attach /tmp/map.txt

Thanks for the file. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is.
You have a remote Allsky Website, correct?
Allsky can't find the configuration file for it (can't read /home/pi/allsky/config/remote_configuration.json: No such file or directory).

Do you know what happened to that file? Please run cd ~/allsky; ./remoteWebsiteInstall.sh and it should recreate the file. Then try postToMap.sh --force.

The next release of Allsky now checks for missing files and produces a detailed message in the WebUI. It doesn't fix the missing file, but at least users will get a message showing exactly what's missing, versus "Machine ID is undefined" which is misleading.
