System configured for legacy camera

Hello,
I rebooted by Pi and now the live feed in the Web GUI is no longer working.
I tried

libcamera-hello

The Allsky then tells me
"ERROR: the system appears to be configured for the legacy camera stack"
Can anyone help?

UPDATE
I ran

tail -f /var/log/allsky.log

And then realised that I had the Allsky removing bad images. Once I set this to false it seemed to all work. So driver error and not an issue anymore.

@LB376 Lisa, this is very strange. The legacy camera stack message has nothing to do with Allsky but is output when the libcamera commands can't find the camera and the Pi isn't configured for an HQ camera.
In Buster raspi-config needs to be run to tell the Pi what type of RPi camera you have. Bullseye is supposed to be able to auto config.
Are you running Buster or Bullseye?

The setting to remove bad images only comes into play if an image was successfully taken. I suggest leaving it set and if needed, adjust the settings for what it considers too dark and too bright. Having a timelapse with pure black or pure white images just ruins the timelapse, in my opinion.
When Allsky first starts up is typically when the "bad" images are deleted sine the auto-exposure algorithm can take a few tries to get a good image, especially if your "Manual Exposure" settings are way off.

However, the Pi seems to be working fine though.

try running sudo raspi-config then Interface Options, then Camera to enable to camera port. I assume you didn't enable the camera port before?

Which Pi do you have?

Also, look in /boot/config.txt for this line: start_x=1.
If it's there, comment it out. Google said that line enables "legacy" mode.
You'll need to reboot the Pi.

When I go into raspi-config then Interface Options the only camera option I see is

I1 Legacy Camera Enable/disable legacy camera support

Should I disable the Legacy support?

I have a RPi 4B 8GB with a 64GB SD card running the Lite OS.

@LB376 Lisa, yes, please try disabling legacy support.

A few other things, if you don't mind:

• Attach (don't copy/paste) your /boot/config.txt file.
• Run lscpu and copy/paste the output.
• Run: cd ~/allsky/src ; make capture Let me know if that works or gives an error like:

make[1]: Entering directory '/home/pi/allsky/src'
2023-03-22 22:00:48 Building capture program...
/usr/bin/ld: lib/armv8/libASICamera2.a: error adding symbols: file format not recognized
...

Hi Eric, I haven't done this yet as the camera has been working without issue. I'm reluctant to play around with it while it is working. Or do you think it would be better to go ahead and make the suggested changes? @LB376 Lisa, if things are working fine for you, leave it. Our next release fixes the "file format not recognized" error.
