Star trails are short?

Nice clear night last night. ALL NIGHT. This is the star trails image I got.

OK so I looked at my keogram. this may be normal.

Did you play around with the BRIGHTNESS_THRESHOLD setting? It's not a one-size-fits-all. Change it, then run scripts/generateForDay.sh -s 20230314 then look at the new result. Keep doing those steps until you are happy.

Based on the keogram it looks like it was clear until 11:45 am, then got cloudy until 15:15, and got dark at 20:00 and got light a little before 7 am.

I will have a look at it. Not happy with the night time brightness any way. Brightness for both at 50, daytime was on 80. And yes I saw the issue when I looked at the keogram, but I also watched Orions belt go fromone side to the other at the bottom of the screen, but no star trail for it.

Is there something wrong with the keogram? Not sure what "issue" you are referring to.

No Keogram is fine.
I thought my star trails was bad, UNTIL I looked at the Keogram.
O do wish night time brightness could go lower than 50.
