upload daily time-lapse to YouTube or Vimeo?

Is there any way to do this? My school is asking that any videos I make from the device must be uploaded to a "trusted" site before being linked to on our school site. Is this possible, and if so, can anyone give step-by-step instructions? I'm not a programmer and have only a very basic understanding of Linux. Thanks very much.

Here's what the person said: "From my perspective, you’re asking to connect a third-party device, and allowing it credentialed/secure access to upload files to the webserver for XXX.edu which is a mission-critical asset to the college. Clearly that presents some risk for hacking either the device or network which ultimately leads to the webserver.

Candidly, I don’t know how to mitigate this risk, except to suggest that you use the same process to upload to someone else’s webserver then we can link or embed the file(without accessing our webserver)."

@pmccudden. Do you have access to some disk space on a web server? Or know someone who does? If not, are you willing to pay a web provider?
If so, you could install the Allsky Website on that server, or if you only want to display the latest timelapse you could create a simple web page that displays it.

I'll look into it, but what about my original question - is it possible to have some sort of script running that automatically uploads the latest daily time-lapse to my YouTube site?

@pmccudden If you can FTP the file to your YouTube site and you're not uploading it to another site, then yes, it can be done by setting the appropriate variables in config/ftp-settings.jpg.

If you don't know if files can be FTP'd, then you may want to Google it. I couldn't find anything about using FTP to upload to YouTube, but this site describes how you can do it via a Python script.
If you could get that working, then you'd put a call to the Python script in endOfNight_additionalSteps.sh.

Maybe someone at your school who knows Python could get it working.
