Minimum ranking, maximum ranking

how do i use this setting? i see a box beside the usual rating options labeled current ranking, and i was assuming i'd be able to change that number, but i don't see an obvious way to, or any additional options under "Set ranking to" with min-max enabled and the max set to 10
