Is there a backup / export function?

So I have a new android and was trying to migrate my cards over to the new phone. Maybe I'm being dense, but I can't figure out how to do it (I don't have a server)

• The export function in the app just seems to migrate app settings.
• android\data\com.akylas.cardwallet\files is basically an empty directory

Is there a simple way to copy & paste into a new phone?

I have the same question - it was working great, then my old phone partially died - the screen doesn't work fully. I can remote control but not use the phone. I've tried setting up WebDav but so far I just get "failed". I copied the files but I get error on the journal.

Please: tell us which folders are needed to be copied - is it just the one, or more than one in different places?

Tell us which webdav server you used and any settings. I can't even see what port it's expecting, or whether it wants TLS!

@mgg1010 @biff80 for any app i would always advise to use neobackup or AppManager. They work great and should bring back the app in the exact same state.

Now about app export/backup yes it is only for settings, i should clarify.
I could add full backup/restore, but it would require quite some work for a feature already existing in other apps.
Personally i use export settings only because i use webdav sync but i understand your issue.
What i think i could do is add message explaining you should use neobackup or else

I'm completely aligned with @mgg1010 on this need. Personally, I use two phones — one with iOS and one with Android — and I’d like to be able to sync them without relying on WebDAV.

As I explained here: CatimaLoyalty/Android#1909 (reply in thread), I think it would be great to have a lightweight export option that I could save to a folder on OneDrive, gDrive, etc.

The benefit of a format like JSON is that it could also be reused in other projects such as Catima.
