Boulder: install step fails to create required dirs

sometimes boulder fails to create %(installroot) and others in time causing asciidoctor to fail.
(Just a quick issue report so it doesn't get forgotten)

Seems to be fixed by adding macros for build systems

This needs some more investigation as part of the alpha2 pass.
