Scrolling in code textarea no longer smooth

I don't know if anyone else has noticed how broken the scrolling is on main code textarea. At first I thought it was the refresh rate of my device, but it isn't. I noticed this change since I think around a version of 1.6 or so.

Is there anything I can do? Or has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed that too many open folders can worsen scrolling. Selecting the "Cancel" option when asked to list all files and folders whrn adding a new path containing helps.
