Vizard Crashes after 2 minutes 38 seconds

Any Vizard visualisation of mine crashes after 2 minutes 38 seconds. Tested on two separate Windows 11 PC's. Duration of the Basilisk simulation is irrelevant. Basilisk sim itself works of course and completes successfully.

Could you provide some additional information such as the Basilisk and Vizard versions you were using and any logs that were produced when the crash occurred.

I normally launch Vizard by running the vizard.exe file directly from my Windows explorer. I tried running it via CMD as well, to see if the behavior would change, but to no avail.

It does not crash on its own, but rather it just hangs indefinitely once it reaches 2 minutes and 38 seconds. When I click on the frozen window, it turns gray and Windows shows “Not Responding.” I have to force-close it manually. No error output is printed to the console, and no log files are created that I can find.

I am running Basilisk 2.7.21 and Vizard 2.2.0, which I believe are the latest releases of both.

If you would like to me to provide diagnostics via some method unknown to me, please let me know. I will do my best to provide you with what I can.

When Vizard hangs, please leave the application open and:

1. Open Task Manager → go to the Details tab.
2. Right-click vizard.exe → choose Create dump file.

This will generate a .DMP file. If you could attach that dump file here, it will help us debug in case we can’t reproduce the hang on our end. You may need to zip the file to upload it here as those files can get large.

Uncompressed, the DMP file is nearly 1.5GB in size. Compressed, it still comes out to about 225MB, so Github won't let me upload it here. Is it normal for the DMP file to be that large?

They can get quite big depending on the application. You may be able to push the compressed file to a public git repo and link it here. If not we can try to diagnose without the DMP and get back in touch if we are unable to reproduce.
