Language Settings

I started running a shared instance on a server and somehow the UI language has gotten changed. I'm having a difficult time finding a setting to change it back to default / english. Searching the UI settings is not revealing an option for language, nor has searching the common config files. I found a (unfortunately?) AI google answer that said ui_language was the option to add, I added it, but that did not fix it.
Does anyone know where the setting is hidden?

The setting is not hidden. There is no language setting. WebUI has only one GUI language and that's English.

It's probably your browser with an extension that translates websites on the fly like the google translater app.

Thanks for the feedback, but if I use the same browser to two different but identical installs; one locally under windows, and the other on my linux box. The local windows one displays in English, and the other has 80% of the text replaced with Chinese instead.

I have checked using edge and chrome.

If I use Chrome's "translate" popup, it shows "translate to english" and selecting detected language goes back to Chinese; indicating that the data is being seen as Chinese not translated from english into chinese.

I've also tried turning off chrome's translation, and the page is still in chinese.

I can't really help, but I can say this:

• WebUI is plain English and has no translations, nor multi-language options - so the problem cannot come from WebUI itself
• Your screenshots show correctly translated Chinese words, not nonsense characters - so it's not a codepage problem
• Not all words are translated, just most of them - so there must be a translation layer somehow, somewhere that cannot translate all words

Looks like my issue is the same as this one:

the extension "sd-webui-prompt-all-in-one" adds language customization, got installed by default? (not sure where it came in from) and defaulted to chinese.

Disabling it has reverted the UI back to defaults.
