In DebugView I see the following:

I also notice that Glass is only shown non active window

Forground window has no glass. Related?

I use Windows 10 22H2 19045.5965 with OpenGlass-legacy-v2.1.0.1871 and the win8rp.png from old glass8.

I think this is a configuration issue and has nothing to do with the output error.

It’s just that your theme or theme atlas doesn’t include button glow images.

GlassType uses 0 as the default value when it does not exist, which is consistent with the colorization behavior of glass8.

I can later see this reg query call for the value, but this depends on an if :

Shared::g_type = static_cast<Shared::GlassType>(std::clamp(GlassEngine::GetDwordFromRegistry(L"GlassType", 0), 0ul, 1ul));

which may be false for me 🤔 But wired that in Windows 11 it works even without this value in registry.

It seems your understanding of the code isn’t quite accurate—Shared::GlassType::Invalid is just a placeholder. At runtime, GlassType is always either 0 or 1; otherwise, nothing would be rendered, resulting in complete transparency. It’s more likely that your previous glass opacity was too high, and when blended with the theme atlas, it just looked opaque.
