[Bug]: User set transparency does not work when "Load layer as single WMS layer" active (LWC 3.9.1)

What is the bug? (in English)

Two issues here:

1. The infobutton - "popup" wont show the option to change the transparency of a layer:

2. The infobutton "popup" of a layer group shows the transparency selector, but it has no effect:

Steps to reproduce the issue

Try to set transparency for a layer(group) as logged in user is not possible

Strange, they are displayed for me for individual layers with points, lines, and hatches (Lizmap 3.9.1 with QGIS Server 3.40.10, Py-QGIS Server)

Huh, how strange. What picture format have you set in the Lizmap Plugin for those layers? PNG?

Yes, I always use PNG as my image format. I've never changed it.
Are there any advantages to using a different image format?

WebP/JPG is supposedly smaller - i made some experiments and could not really see a change in speed/file size per tile downloaded, so i stayed with PNG. Then i need to research more, what the reason could be for my transparency settigns not appearing :(

I've done my research. The Plug-In setting
Load layer as single WMS layer
is the culprit. :( Sad, i want it both - transparency changable for each layer, but also load them as single WMS

Ah, OK.
I've looked at this option several times, but I don't like it. There's a short wait (which feels too long) during which nothing happens. I'd rather build it up piece by piece.
I also couldn't see that it was any slower.
But that may be due to my particular setup, where I fetch a lot of data as my own WMS service from another server.
