[Bug]: LWC 3.9.0-RC.3 - New Function: Relation "Display table of children" does not show any children

Hey,
i wanted to try the new recommended setting for related tables and changed the setting of the parent layer in the plugin to Display table of children (recommended) - but then no children are displayed in LWC

Setting it back to Display related children with popups works, children are shown then.

On the child layer i tried every type of Popup (Automatic, Maptip, Drag'n'Drop) which did not make a difference. Am I overlooking something or is this a bug?

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. In LWC QGIS plug, Set PopUp of parent layer to "Drag'n'Drop Layout and relation setting to Display table of children (recommended)
2. No children are displayed when clicking on a parent feature in LWC

I tried quickly, I couldn't reproduce your issue. Can you check your CFG file ? Is-it containing for the parent layer :

children_lizmap_features_table : true
popupDisplayChildren: 'False'

A true boolean value for lizmap feature table, the "new" way. Maybe you would have a 'False' as string for the "legacy" way (the not recommended one).

Can you check with your Web developers tools (F12), with the inspector where your children should have been inserted. You should be able to find a lizmap-features-table ?

Maybe you got an error in the Javascript console when opening the popup ?

I will play a bit around with other layers and report if i find something

hmm, i tried everything which can remotly play a role (WFS/WMS server capabilities, types of attribute forms of child/parent layer) with a new set of child/parent layer - but still no children in a table.

I also tried it with my test server (where i'm using py-qgis-server) but with the same result.

Edit: I changed it back to the "old" way and parent/child is working here as stated - but i had still the dev tools open and I'm seeing a lot of 404 - Errors here

hmm, i just checked it and enabled WFS for both, parent and child, but still no success

1. Toggle "persons_popup" → it works, as it's using the "legacy way children popup"
2. Toggle "persons_table" → it does not work

No error in the webbrowser console.

@meyerlor Can you publish your children table in the attribute table tool, it should do the trick. We are on a fix to avoid this.
