Program crashes while trying to change output folder to external drive

I tried changing the output folder to an external drive connected via USB, and a NAS drive. Both crashed the program. The settings do not save upon opening the program back up.

Log file does not record the termination of program, but I uploaded it here anyways.

On that note, is there a place where Disc Dumper stores its settings?

What's the external drive? Is it another NAS or a physical disk? How exactly does it crash? Are there any errors? Is anything logged in system events (win+x > event viewer > windows logs > application)

The external USB drive is a physical HDD assigned to D:. The NAS one is a ZFS (2 HDD mirrored) running on Ubuntu server.

I opened setting, pressed change output, upon selecting the external drive as location the program crashed.

what filesystem is on that drive?

well no stacktrace points to .net internals / native windows api call issue, and there shouldn't be any difference between internal and external physical drives.

but considering you already put the dumper on that disc, I don't see why you want absolute path to the same drive to begin with.

also, as a note, root of the disk drive has special permissions that prevent normal operations, you should create a folder and put your programs inside.

I'll try to reproduce the problem when I have some free time, but it might be specific to your system or sw/hw combination

Hi, thanks for the advice on the root drive. It was exactly what was wrong with the USB hard drive. I put a new folder in D: and changed the output to there and it worked.

However, it still crashed with the network drive. My output is IPAddress\Storage\Downloads\New Folder and the program allowed changing the output path to that. It did not crash at this point. However when I hit "Start" to begin the conversion it crashed.

Looking more into the event log, I also got NET crashed on me:
