How to use 2 NVMe drives first as SHR-1, then expand later with 1 or more NVMe drives without losing data? #166

Which Synology model and which DSM version? Is it a real Synology or Xpenology? Do mean expand by replacing each NVMe drive, one at a time, with larger NVMe drives? In this case you'd be better off using RAID 1 as it's much simpler to expand the storage pool and volume. Or do mean expand by adding a 3rd NVMe drive? |

I'm interested in this same topic, I set up a SHR-1 volume using the script with a single SSD. I'd like to expand this later with another drive of the same size depending on prices of drives. Even if not automated, are there some commands I could run once I get another SSD to add it to the volume? I'm using a synology ds423+ and both SSDs are/will be unofficial. |

As in the title, I want to use 2 NVMe drives now as SHR-1 with the ability to expand capacity later without losing data. How should I set this up initially? Then what do I do when I want to add additional NVMe drives to the pool?
